What does a 14mm male joint fit?

A 14mm male joint is designed to fit into a 14mm female joint. This is the most common configuration for the vast majority of water pipes and bongs sold today. If your bong has a joint that your bowl slides *into*, it's likely a 14mm female joint, and this slide will fit perfectly.

What is the difference between a male and female bong bowl?

The difference is how they connect. A "male" bowl piece has a narrow, tapered joint that slides into the wider opening of a "female" bong joint. Conversely, a "female" bowl has a wider opening that fits over a "male" bong joint. Male bowl pieces, like this one, are the industry standard for flower slides.

How do I know if my bong needs a 14mm or 18mm slide?

An easy way to check is with a dime. If a dime fits into the opening of your bong's joint, it's an 18mm joint. If the dime rests on top of the opening without falling in, you have a 14mm joint. This Dichro Galaxy Slide is a 14mm piece, perfect for bongs where a dime does not fit inside the joint.

Are galaxy bong slides from Honeybee Herb durable?

Yes, this slide is crafted from high-quality borosilicate glass, known for its thermal resistance. However, the dichroic coating is a surface treatment. While durable under normal use and proper cleaning, it can be scratched by abrasive materials. Handle it with care to maintain its pristine look.

Can I use this slide for anything other than flower?

This bowl is specifically designed as an herb slide for use with dry flower. Its shape and single-hole airflow are optimized for that purpose. It is not designed or intended for use with concentrates, which require a banger or a different style of nail to vaporize properly.
